Banks are paying better 15% more bonus this year after compensation deferred from the year before. And employees are enjoying an average bonus of $164,530, the best since 2008 financial crisis. Even though JPMorgan suffered more than $23 billion in legal settlements, but the bank reportedly pay their employees handsomely. Same goes for Morgan Stanley who reduced the portion of pay that is deferred to later years for its top earners. The sector that saw the most increase in bonuses are asset and wealth managers with increase of 10 to 15%.
